Switch Review

  • Layout is simple and effective. Not complicated and easy to get to all the other features/advertisements. Nothing is over the top and everything is even and easy to understand.
  • Use of colloquial lexis such as 'propper messy' connotes that it is aimed at a younger/teenage audience because, they are words that could be used everyday and are easy to understand and also get straight to the point.
  • Colours are neutral.
  • Links to facebook, myspace and bebo; which are assosiated with teens.
  • Nick and Annie look up-to-date with their clothes and hair etc and the fact that its a man and woman could also show that its for both genders and they also look quite young (20ish)
  • Confuse the teacher feature shows that people assosiated with the radio programme and website are of a teen age as they are in education/higher education and have teachers.
  • The surgery advert says 'everything from sex and self confidence to exam stress' which are everyday teen worries.
  • The link to House Bands shows that it is up-to-date with the genres that most teens know and listen to.
